These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of illinoisrdn.com (the "Site"), operated by the Illinois Remodeling & Development Network ("Illinois RDN," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

The Site publishes news, commentary, and reference content about Illinois home remodeling, residential construction, and neighborhood development, along with a public permit-authority directory. Content on the Site, including articles and the permit directory, is provided for general informational and editorial purposes only.

Nothing on the Site constitutes legal, professional, engineering, architectural, or construction advice, and nothing on the Site constitutes a permit determination. Articles and directory listings reflect information available to us at the time of publication or last verification and may become outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate. You should not rely on the Site as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional or for direct confirmation from the applicable government authority.

The permit-authority directory is intended to help you identify a likely starting point for building or zoning permit questions for a given Illinois county or municipality. It is not authoritative and does not guarantee which authority has jurisdiction over any specific property, nor does it guarantee that the contact information, requirements, or procedures listed are current or complete.

A ZIP code or postal city alone is not sufficient to determine permit jurisdiction, and separate fire, health/septic/well, or road and right-of-way permits may apply in addition to any building permit. You are responsible for independently confirming jurisdiction and all applicable permit requirements with the relevant local, county, or state authority before relying on that information for any project, transaction, or decision.

The Site's articles, graphics, logos, and other original content are owned by Illinois RDN or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to Site content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute substantial portions of Site content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable law (such as fair use).

When using the Site, you agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or related systems;
• Scrape, harvest, or automatically extract Site content in a manner that places undue load on the Site or violates applicable law; or
• Misrepresent Site content as your own or use it in a way that implies an endorsement we have not given.

The Site may contain links to, or content from, third-party websites, government sources, and our sponsor, rohrerforconstruction.com, including sponsor attributions, banner advertisements, or other sponsored content. We identify sponsored or advertising content where it appears.

We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Links to a sponsor or advertiser do not necessarily mean we receive a commission or fee for every referral, and any commercial relationship, where one exists, is limited to what is disclosed on the Site. Visiting or engaging with a third-party link or sponsor is at your own discretion and risk.

If you provide us with an email address, our collection, use, and sharing of that information is governed by our Privacy Policy. You agree to indemnify and hold Illinois RDN reasonably harmless from claims, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Illinois, in each case to the extent permitted by applicable law and without limiting any venue or forum rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
