The Illinois RDN Editorial Team aims to publish accurate, sourced reporting and to correct factual errors when they are identified.
How to report an error
Email illinoisrdn@gmail.com with the article URL, the specific statement you believe is incorrect, and a supporting source if one is available.
How we review
An editor checks the report against original sources and any relevant supporting information. We aim to respond within a reasonable time, but cannot guarantee a response timeline.
How corrections are made
Factual errors are corrected in the article with a note describing what changed. Minor typos and formatting issues may be fixed without a note. Significant changes as a story develops are identified as updates.
Data and tools
Housing market data refreshes from public sources on a schedule; release dates and source periods may differ. Permit directory entries show a last-verified date, but users should confirm contacts and requirements with the local authority. Please report outdated permit contacts to illinoisrdn@gmail.com.
What we don't change
We do not remove accurate reporting on request alone. Requests are evaluated case by case.
